Indoor Winter Training starts November 15th and runs through February 28

Our winter classes focus on developing individual skill and preparing each player for the winter season. Throughout this period, our main goal is to help every athlete become a true master on the ball. Each training session is led by coaches who follow a structured curriculum designed to strengthen both the player and the person. Through their dedication to mastering the sport of soccer, our players not only learn to love the “beautiful game” but also build strength, stamina, self-esteem, and sportsmanship.

The winter season is the perfect opportunity for players to focus on their fundamentals without the pressure of weekend games. During this time, our participants can fine-tune their skills or explore new ways to play and handle the ball. Private Lesson students can put their newly learned moves to the test during our group pickup games, arriving to the spring season as newly transformed soccer players.

November – Dribbling:

  • Every step of the way, we will get you dribbling like a professional. Being able to dribble with all parts of your foot. Players will become more comfortable. There are really two types of dribbling. Running through defenders and running to the open space to create an attacking situation, not everyone can do both because each requires a different set of skills. At F4C “Under the Roof Winter Program” We will work the entire month on this special aspect of the game.

December – Turning and Shooting:

  • Turning: An essential aspect of soccer. We work with players, on the basic soccer turns and the many soccer turns there are. Our players will become tricky soccer players. Learning to utilize body faints to trick the opponent is a great way to beat any player in any part of the pitch, this skill set is crucial for players in all positions.
  • Shooting: It’s quite simple. We teach players how to become effective goal scorers. Being able to shoot the ball with all parts of their foot and properly adjusting their body. We will focus on penalty kicks, free kicks, shots off the run, off the dribble and the use of their non- dominant foot to shoot the ball.

January – Technique:

  • Having proper soccer technique is one of our main focuses. From the player warm ups to player practice sessions during this entire month we focus a lot on technique. There is nothing more appealing to watch as a technical player. To achieve this, we will work on players coordination, motor schemes skills. Every aspect of the game will be applied to technique.
  • Shooting the ball, receiving the ball, dribbling the ball, tackling, throwing in, heading (players 12 and older). This is the month where all the skills learned in the previous month become technically richer. Players will be paired up to practice a skill over and over until they can master it.

February – Game Situation:

  • Players will become extremely comfortable in high pressure environment, as we will focus on competition situations during a game, developing an aggressive player who is strong and confident because they will know that he/she has the skill set to overcome any situation that may arise during a match.
  • Being able to be an effective 1 vs 1 dribbler on the ball is important. Players will be faced in 1 vs 1 drills. Players are given no option other than having to dribble past the opponent, this drills awaken the warrior on each of our participants as they are encouraged to fight for the possession the entire time while the ball is in play.
